In Just Two Months…
In just two months, give or take, I’ll be out in the garden planting ‘Green Arrow’* peas and lettuce and onions. It will be a beautiful early spring day when I get the wheelbarrow out of the garage, load it up with a rake, seeds, onion sets and row markers. Then I’ll look over all the hoes, and pick out one, maybe two, to make nice straight furrows in whatever raised bed I choose for these early crops. It will be just warm enough to wear a lightweight jacket as I kneel down and shake those pale … [Read more...] about In Just Two Months…

Tree-weeds

And wouldn’t it be fun to have a tree in the garden that grew … [Read more...] about Tree-weeds
Embrace Seeds For A Happier Life
It seems that everyone wants to push the seasons.I haven’t even raked the first fallen leaf and already the mailman has delivered the first seed catalog of the season. It’s from the same company that sent the first seed catalog in past years, at least according to my garden journal.(Well sure I write down in my garden journal when I get my first seed catalog each year. Don’t you? I don’t record when all of the catalogs arrive, there are too many for that, but I generally note when I get the … [Read more...] about Embrace Seeds For A Happier Life
