"As the Leaves Turn" is a soap opera for gardeners brought to you by our sponsors. When we last left our gardener, at the end of Episode 3, she had just received her long-for package and had rushed inside to open. In this final episode, our gardener is standing in her kitchen, staring down at the box, imagining what is inside of it. She slowly turns the box from end to end, side to side, examining it closely. New Hoe! The Broot Garden Weeder
Want to see my new hoe? It's called the Broot Garden Weeder and it is a brute of a hoe. It's sturdy, strong, and sharp. It even has a warning on the label to keep it away from little kids who might not realize that the blade is sharp. It is made like a stirrup hoe so it works in both directions. I wish I had thought of this pose earlier so I could have used this photo for my Christmas cards. But I didn't think of it until recently, so please consider this your virtual card from me to you. It is common … [Read more...] about I have more hoes than Santa Claus

Welcome to Hoe Talk where we talk about hoes and other gardening tools. Here at Hoe Talk, we like to cultivate our interest in gardening hoes and dig deep into the world of shovels, trowels, and other gardening tools. Today, I'd like to address the whispers. Yes, I heard the whispers, the talk behind my back when people realized that my vast hoe collection did not include... An oscillating hoe. But no more whispers now. No more finger pointing. Thanks to the generous marketing people at … [Read more...] about Hoe Talk: Corona Oscillating Hoe
