I keep a notebook nearby to write down random thoughts and ideas and keep notes of stuff I want to remember, or maybe write a blog post about someday. This evening, after a rainy day (thank goodness!), I was flipping through my current notebook and came across a thought on secrets. Underneath all that snow
Underneath all that snow, there lies a garden. I call it Plopper's Field because I just plop plants here and there in it, wherever there seems to be a bit of open dirt. I do try to remember not to put tall plants in front of short plants, and mind where there might be some bulbs planted. All in all, it turns out fairly nice, if I do say so myself. A pleasaunce
I must tell you that Elizabeth Lawrence's study contains some rather large rabbit holes. A few evenings ago, I fell into one and came up with a brand new word -- pleasaunce. Elizabeth Lawrence’s Study
What fun it was to go inside the house of Elizabeth Lawrence after touring the gardens. I wanted most to see her study, which features a large window that looks out over the garden. When we entered the study, I could see that Andrea, the Wing Haven staff member who works in Lawrence's garden, sets up the vases to display samples of what's blooming in the garden, just as Lawrence was known to do.
