Once upon a summer, there was a place called May Dreams Gardens where garden fairies lived with a gardener named Carol. Every spring, Carol came out to the garden after the last frost and sowed rows and rows of green beans. Some years, she put plastic forks up and down the rows of green beans to keep the rabbits from eating the seedlings. Then one year, Carol got lazy and just sowed the beans without the forks. When two mischievous garden fairies, Seedy and Soddy, saw what Carol … [Read more...] about A Green Bean Story, with Garden Fairies
Garden fairies here! We are garden faires and we have discovered a new flower in the containers on the patio. It's a flower we haven't seen around here in, like, never. Immediately, though we are busy and bedeviled with all kinds of garden tasks to do this summer, we went to work to figure out what it was. We sent Seedy and Soddy to the containers to take a closer look. Then we sent Honoria and Hortensis to Carol's library to start looking at books to find pictures. Quickly she turned and ran to wake up Granny Gus McGarden to tell her the good news. In her haste to get to Granny, who ruled over the vegetable garden, she knocked over … [Read more...] about Shadow of a Reindeer
Garden fairies here. We are garden fairies and no, we did not take a picture from last spring to post on this blog post. This is a picture of autumn flowering crocuses which are in bloom right now. We garden fairies are quite proud of how nice they look and are thankful that Carol finally came out here to see them because it would be a shame if they bloomed and no one saw them. Whew. We don't know what Carol does but we do not see her as often as we should be seeing her in the garden because … [Read more...] about Garden fairies post again
