Gardening Gone Wild’s December Garden Blogger’s Design Workshop is all about Fences and Walls.Here’s a garden wall that I admired recently.These homeowners have added a 'wall' just two stones high to differentiate between a lawn area and a wooded area in their front yard.I think it is a good solution to the problem of having to maintain a tame area around the sidewalk while keeping the woods ‘as is’. Someday, We’ll Laugh About It
In a 4 x 8 raised bed, I've managed to plant six hills of zucchini. Left to right, "Gold Rush", "Ambassador" and "Gold Bar", two hills of each. Behind that bed is a 2 x 8 foot bed with green beans, which, by some miracle or due to my clean living, have been left alone by the rabbits. The bed in front is where the peas and lettuce were, where I need to plant a second crop of green beans or something. And then there is my fence back there.
