Garden fairies here. We are garden fairies and we have decided to provide a report of Carol's grand plan to do a little gardening every day in September, for at least an hour or so. What we have to report so far is, unexpectedly, quite positive. Granny 'Gus' McGarden could not be happier with the vegetable garden right now, with how Carol has faithfully cleared out the dead squash plants and pulled so many weeds. Well, Granny could be happier if—or shall we optimistically say … [Read more...] about Garden Fairies Provide a Report

Garden Fairies Are In Favor of the Plan
Garden fairies here. We are garden fairies and we are in favor of the plan. What plan, you ask? The one in which Carol spends one hour a day weeding the garden every day for 30 days, supposedly starting September 1st. Which is in complete contrast to the last 30 days when she spent approximately one hour in total weeding the garden. There is a video... Anyway, we are garden fairies and we saw the video and heard the plan. We were all in and got quite excited. We were … [Read more...] about Garden Fairies Are In Favor of the Plan
Garden Fairies Provide Updates
Garden fairies here. We are garden fairies and we have come here to provide important, meaningful, relevant updates, and a bit of news. First, we are sounding the alarm that the surprise lilies are blooming, though with those big pink blooms, they don't actually need sound to set a gardener's heart a-flutter. Garden Fairies Lament the Lack of…
Garden fairies here! We are garden fairies and we barely have time to write this blog post, but we feel it is our duty and responsibility to make clear what we lament. What we lament is the lack of notice that there would be tree trimming going on in our garden. Now, we are not talking about the tree trimming that Carol does, which is rare, infrequent, and to us, inconsequential, except sometimes when she makes a boo-boo and saws off a limb she regrets cutting off. It is at those times … [Read more...] about Garden Fairies Lament the Lack of…
Garden Fairies Prepare to Save the Garden, Again
Garden fairies here. We are garden fairies and once again, it is apparently up to us to save this garden from, well, Carol. Let us begin by saying that we've calmed Granny 'Gus' McGarden down and reassured her that we will all help as much as we can. Granny, as long-time readers of our garden fairy posts know, is responsible for the Vegetable Garden Cathedral. Let us tell you she was fit to be tied this past week because Carol took her sweet time and then some before she planted the … [Read more...] about Garden Fairies Prepare to Save the Garden, Again
Garden Fairies Regroup After Late April Snow Event
Garden fairies here. We are garden fairies and we woke up on Wednesday morning, April 21, and this is what we saw. We garden fairies realized right away that this is not normal for April 21st. When she saw the snow, SweetPea MorningGlory started running around saying it was a snow apocalypse. Then Seedy and Soddy chimed in that it was just a snow storm. Other garden fairies called it a snow event. And did we hear "aberration" too? Thus commenced a raucous debate about what to call … [Read more...] about Garden Fairies Regroup After Late April Snow Event
