I can’t wait to see pics when they bloom. Should be quite a show.

You have a very pretty hyacinth glass collection, Carol! Unfortunately, my hubby does not all all like the smell of hyacinths so, that’s why I do not have them indoors. What a pity…

Beautiful, beautiful!! What a lovely picture. What do you have underneath? Is it a slate insert on the wood shelf or is it a cloth?

Let’s not say you are forcing the bulbs… How about strongly encouraging with water and light! Ha!

Okay, we’ll go with “strongly encouraging”. Nan, that is a placement turned upside down, but now that I look at it, it does look like a slate insert.
I’ll be posting pictures each week for GTS to show the progress of the hyacinths.

Someone recently auctioned a collection of hundreds of hyacinth vases on eBay. I wish I’d thought to blog it. Sigh.
I set up a hyacinth bulb about four weeks ago (for the first time). It finally has some green poking out the top. Does it always take so long for them to get started?

That was very creative of you. And there is a lot of very nice vases there too! Quite a collection.

Oh Carol – any one of them alone would be lovely, but collectively -WOW! We’ll be checking back to see the unfolding show.

I could swear your hyacinths were red onions 😉 Be very interested to see what color blooms arise from these bulbs.

How cool! You will have to keep taking pictures to share with us as they push through and bloom! I did this once many years ago and it was so cool!
