I’ve been busy as a bee!
For Garden Bloggers’ Muse Day, I offer the first few lines of an old poem written by the Hoosier poet, James Whitcomb Riley.
The Bumblebee
You better not fool with a Bumblebee! —
Ef you don’t think they can sting — you’ll see!
They’re lazy to look at, an’ kind o’ go
Buzzin’ an’ bummin’ aroun’ so slow…
Sweet Home and Garden Carolina says
Thanks, Carol, that was very a-musing.
Robin (Bumblebee) says
I have never yet had a bumblebee sting. I have trimmed, watered, weeded and such around the same flower a bumblebee was working on and never had an issue. It’s a very different bee than a yellow jacket.
I love that they are busy, focused and still harmless (as far as I can tell).

Now that’s my kind of poem; short, sweet and to the point! 😉
