October. The word itself invokes all the images of fall. Pumpkins, dried corn stalks, pretty fall leaves, bright asters and mums. There is no better time than October to introduce my all-new fall garden admiring service.
Why do we need a fall version of my garden admiring service?
Thanks for asking.
I know fall is a busy time for many people. Streaming services like Netflix and countless others are now bombarding you with new shows that you can binge-watch for hours and hours. You can begin at dawn and end late in the day when it is dark. Or begin at dark and watch until the wee hours of the morning so that by the time it’s daylight, you lack the energy to properly admire all the beauty of fall, much of it right outside your window.
And because you are tired and trying to sneak in a nap before your next night of binge-watching, you’ve probably closed your blinds and drapes so that the beauty of the day—that clear blue sky and those bright leaf colors—doesn’t keep you from your much-needed rest.
Plus, there are now college football games to watch on Saturdays and pro football games to watch on Sundays and dog-gone-it, you’ve worked hard all week. You don’t need an excuse! There simply is no time for you to admire the beauty of fall in your garden.
That’s where I come in. I’m happy to admire the beauty of fall in your garden for you!
What’s included in this fall version of my gardening admiring service?
Thanks for asking.
So that your garden doesn’t end up not being admired and exclaimed over in the fall, for a wildly exorbitant price plus travel expenses, I’ll check out the pretty fall foliage and admire any late-blooming flowers like asters, mums, and autumn crocuses.
And just because I’m nice, I’ll sit a bit and sip some apple cider while watching leaves gently fall to the ground. I might even read a book with a fall theme while I’m admiring your garden.
I’ll also listen for the chirps of crickets and the birds singing farewell songs in the trees.
I’ll watch butterflies float on winds unseen as they seek out the last drops of nectar on the zinnias, asters, and goldenrod.
Please note that while admiring your garden, I will not rake leaves, cut back spent blooms, clear out the vegetable garden, mow, plant, or otherwise do any actual gardening.
I’ll just admire how pretty it all is while you sit inside doing whatever it is you wish to do.
How far will I travel to admire a lovely garden in the fall?
Thanks for asking.
Travel? Oh, dear me, no. I don’t think anyone will pay my wildly exorbitant prices, plus travel expenses, so most of my garden admiring will be done from my own garden.
How does a garden admiring service work if I don’t visit in person?
Thanks for asking
If you’d like me to exclaim over your garden with deep admiration, email me a picture of it in the fall. I’m happy to then admire it and tell you how wonderful it all is, thus relieving you from any obligation to admire it yourself. And I don’t charge anything for this service.
It’s the least I can do and yes, it is my secret ploy to get you to go out into your garden in the fall to take pictures of it so that I can admire it. In the process, YOU will have gone out to your garden and admired it. And that has cost you nothing!
You’re welcome.

I guess you’re going to send your admiration via email? Last time you offered this service, you sent an actual card through the postal service. I liked getting postal mail that wasn’t a bill or advertisement.
