Carol I will like the new book if it continues as the exerpt I read.
I will look forward to it.
I have written my review of Dear Friends. I am not a very good book review writer. Have you read Nan’s review? http://lettersfromahillfarm.blogspot.com/2008/01/book-reportdear-friend-gardener.html
She is a good writer. I enjoyed her review about as well as the book itself. 🙂

Carol: I have to tell you that you do inspire! I picked up ‘Dear Friends’ but I probably won’t finish it in time to review however, I am enjoying it immensely and have had to look up several plants which were unknown to me! Also, who knew Beth and Christo were such cooks! I do own Second Nature and look forward to a re-read! Thanks!

Doh! I missed the poll! But this is a great excuse to read another of Pollan’s books, as if I need one. Library onward!

Cool! I love this book. Not only do I own it, it is the only Michael Pollan book I’ve ever read; I never got on the bandwagon for his more recent and popular books.

This book has been sitting on my book shelf for about eight years. I’ve never read it but always wanted to. My college roommate gave it to me after she read it for a biology class since she knew I was into gardening. The interesting thing is, I just picked it up again about a week-and-a-half ago and started reading. I had no idea you were thinking of this one for a Book Club selection. How weird! I’m glad you picked it!
