A recent session with my garden therapist. Dr. Hortfreud.
Hello Carol.
Hi Dr. Hortfreud.
It’s been quite a while since our last session, Carol. Looking at my notes it was almost exactly two years ago. At the time, you were concerned because you had purchased expensive pants just for gardening.
Oh, those pants? Well, yes, I did buy some expensive pants for gardening. But I still have them and still wear them for gardening so I guess they were a good investment after all.
Surely you didn’t call me back to discuss pants, did you?
No, I just wanted to talk and since the entire world is on self-isolation, I thought you and I could chat about gardening.
Okay, what do you want to talk about?
I sowed some seeds yesterday.
Yes, I saw all your videos about sorting your seeds and labels. It became pretty evident after eight sessions that over-buying pants isn’t your real problem.
Whew, that’s good.
It’s seeds, Carol
Oh.
And, then am I hearing correctly from your recent press conference that you ordered more seeds?
Well, I didn’t have some zinnias and basil that I needed.
Needed?
Needed.
Let’s move on, shall we? Tell me what else you are thinking about?
I’m thinking about how wonderful it is to have a garden right now!
It surely is, Carol. It surely is. Now I think that’s enough for this session. I sense you’d like me to stay close at hand for a while.
Yes, Dr. Hortfreud. I would. I promise not to let another two years go by before we have another session!
I guess my vacation is over. Okay, I’ll be here for you, Carol. Rain or shine!
Thank you, Dr. Hortfreud!

I have never read a more unkind comment ever. I hope you delete the above anonymous comment Carol.
Anyway I was happy to see Dr Hort… It seems we need his help specially anonymous.

It's gone. That was hateful. And for some reason, Blogger isn't notifying me with an email when I get a comment, so until I sort that out, I'll have to be extra vigilant!

Oh so nice to have some one to chat with about our garden obsessions. He sounded concerned about your last purchase but yes in did basil and zinnia seeds are a need. I am sorting my seeds again to see if I missed something. Love this little conversation. Thanks

Cute, since I was a psychologist (now retired). Only wished my conversations with clients were about delightful things like seeds:) then, I would probably still be working, lol.
