Iris reticulata ‘Harmony’ |
“Nothing great is of rapid achievement, it must be remembered, and “to make a garden”, wrote a Persian poet, is to paint a living picture with the pigments of the Almighty.” (Mary Hampden in Every Woman’s Flower Garden: How to Make and Keep It Beautiful, 1915)
These are little beauties. A colorful dollop in the paintbox of your garden.
Gone over in my garden but certainly not forgotten! Gorgeous Carol.
Blue, my favorite color in the garden!
Harmony is my favourite iris reticulata – mine have finished now so it is lovely to be able to enjoy yours. A great quote as well – it is easy to want to rush a garden, but the best gardens take many years of hard work.
Lovely little flowers, ours are all finished now, another year to wait!
Gorgeous flower and even more scrumptious quote.~~Dee
Always the first to arrive at my house, and why not? If I was as beautiful as these, I'd be anxious to visit too.
