My book, Potted and Pruned: Living a Gardening Life, is six months old this week.
That’s right. Time flies! The hardcover edition was officially published on February 23, 2017 and the softcover edition came out the next day, February 24, 2017.
The labor and delivery wasn’t that difficult, as I recall. I was well taken care of by my book midwife, Katie at The Garden of Words and her capable staff. And even before that, my book and I were tended to by editor Deb Wiley who, in the kindest way possible, helped me shed many commas before the book was published.
Many commas.
In fact, I have bags, and bags, and bags of commas that Deb took out, and so I try to use them, as you can see, wherever I can, before they get stale, or rot, or worse, morph into semi-colons, or flip-upside down and become, if you can believe it, or not, apostrophes.
I am also saving a few of the commas for my second book.
In the meantime, to celebrate the six-month birthday of Potted and Pruned, I’m offering a “while supplies last” deal until August 31, 2017! Enter code “6months” when ordering a signed copy from my online store and you’ll save 25%. That’s your present! 25% off!
That’s right. 25% off for the next nine days for signed books shipped to addresses in the United States. While supplies last, so don’t wait too long to decide how many signed copies you are buying for Christmas presents. Or for Labor Day gifts. Or just for yourself.
If you’d like your book personalized, just include the info on how you want it personalized in the note at check-out and I’ll be happy to personalize and sign your copy of Potted and Pruned: Living a Gardening Life.
Happy Six Month Birthday, Potted and Pruned.
